Holocene Music is a small record label based out of Portland, Oregon. Our site had been stagnating for years, so we decided it was time for a complete refresh. The site was built from the ground up using Ruby on Rails. I went for a clean, grid-based design, with subtle, meaningful use of color. The site also includes a custom-built CMS for managing artists, albums, and new updates. All images are hosted via Amazon's speedy CloudFront content delivery network (CDN).
